Technical Lead, Ecommerce Platform Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Ecommerce Technical Lead to join our team at BRP. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading the maintenance and improvement of our BRP Ecommerce application, including the front and back office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and delivery of ecommerce technical projects, managing development teams and ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Develop and maintain a customer-facing digital ecommerce platform, ensuring seamless integration with other systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers, product owners, and the IT, BA, and UX team to improve traffic acquisition, conversion, and retention.
  • Write unit and functional tests within automated test environments to ensure code quality.
  • Build functional prototypes of applications to demonstrate value to stakeholders.
  • Convert user stories into development tasks and provide accurate estimates.
  • Participate in all areas of the project life cycle, including discovery, estimation, sprint planning, delivery, and post-release support.

Requirements:

  • At least 8 to 10 years of experience with ecommerce platforms is required.
  • Experience with Magento and Magento Cloud CLI is necessary.
  • Familiarity with the Adobe Experience Cloud and ecommerce stack is a plus.
  • Strong PHP and/or Java experience is required.
  • Excellent knowledge of front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is necessary.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS, React, and Vue is a plus.
  • Experience creating, consuming, and designing APIs (Rest, GraphQL) is required.
  • Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, MariaDB, and MongoDB is necessary.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are required.
  • A proven track record of prioritization of own work is necessary.
  • Good problem-solving skills are required.
  • Attention to detail is necessary.
