Maximo Application Specialist

Bombardier is seeking a highly skilled Maximo Application Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing and evaluating the Business Information Solutions demand, collaborating with core functions and business partners to ensure a seamless end-to-end view.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders in the Service business unit.
- Manage and prioritize the Business Information Solutions demand, ensuring alignment with Bombardier's strategy and standards.
- Initiate projects, including effort estimation, in coordination with other IT departments and external partners as needed.
- Lead the creation of functional designs to improve or develop standard IT (Building Blocks) and services.
- Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements, ensuring completeness and high-quality standards.
- Promote standardization, integration, and innovation within the team.
- Develop an end-to-end understanding of business processes, vision, and best practices.
- Support the development, validation, and evaluation of BIS Solutions against requirements.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Business Solutions Roadmap to elaborate solutions.
- Monitor daily operations, sustain activities, and customer service levels for assigned areas, reporting status, issues, and risks to the immediate supervisor.
- Provide technical guidance and expertise in troubleshooting problems reported by end-users.
- Typically 5 or more years of professional IT experience in one of the IT functional areas, including previous IT project management experience.
- Typically 2 years of experience as a working lead and/or supervisor.
- Experience with Maximo solution as a subject matter expert or senior developer.
- A proven track record in the successful implementation of Maintenance Management Systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a closely related field, or 3 years of equivalent work experience.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
- Ability to express technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Proficient planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize, assign, and coordinate workload of team members within a multiple project setting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well in teams.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
