SAP Finance Consultant Lead, Strategic Implementation

CAD$122,000 - CAD$152,000 per year
A competitive salary range of CAD$122,000 - CAD$152,000 reflects the base pay for this position. This figure does not include our comprehensive bonus program and benefits package.
Job Description:
The Senior Functional Consultant – Finance conducts design and deployment of SAP S4 FI/CO solutions by leading finance functional consultants in aligning business needs with module and solution functions. Key responsibilities include facilitating implementation, enhancement, and support of SAP S4 FI/CO and associated modules, assisting in delivery of month-end and year-end closing and reports, and maintaining ongoing collaboration with business stakeholders and peers to gather and interpret user/system requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide work direction and mentorship to a team of Finance Functional Consultants ensuring highest quality solutions are implemented in accordance with best practicesFacilitate the implementation, enhancement, and support of SAP S4 FI/CO and associated modules including interfaces (SVS, Adyen, TAS, ECC, Vertex, etc) supporting the Company's business requirements, while maintaining a high degree of stakeholders' satisfactionAssist in delivery of all month end and year end closing and reportsCoordinate and execute Change Requests from Process design through Functional Specifications and Implementation, including coordination of resource partners for end-to-end process coverageMaintain ongoing collaboration with business stakeholders and peers to gather and interpret user/system requirements, pain points, and process issuesDevelop and maintain prioritization of change requestsLead stakeholders in detailed business process blueprint activities to create blueprints and use cases/user storiesPrepare detailed functional specifications for development activities including workflows, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and formsReview detailed functional specifications that are prepared by other teams membersExecute unit testing, functional testing, and system integration testing according to Arc'teryx standardsEnsure 2nd/3rd level support and liaise with key users to troubleshoot and resolve issuesParticipate in the development and review of training materials, and take part in training delivery where required for new releases of SAP or in cases of changes and enhancements in SAP functionalityMaintain updated knowledge on SAP best-practices, roadmap, and technologies to provide informed architectural and design decisionsParticipate occasionally in system maintenance activities outside of regular working hoursPartner with Retail, and e-commerce leaders in I.S. to deliver highly cross-functional projectsWork with internal and external partners to deliver new finance solutions for businessSolve complex problems with peers in SAP to meet continuing developing business needsLook for ways to automate and reduce non-value-added tasksPartner with our Logistics, Omnichannel, and Sourcing teams to produce resultsRequired Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant university degree, certifications, or technical diploma
- Professional accounting designation (CPA is preferred)
- 8+ years of SAP Finance/Controlling Functional experience, including configuration (proven track record)
- 5+ years of Management experience leading a SAP Finance Functional team, including managing SAP Finance projects (active examples of change management, implementing new SAP Finance functionality, SAP upgrades, etc.)
- 5+ years' experience in SAP S4 systems implementation and sustainment
- Thorough and demonstrable knowledge of General Ledger (FI-GL), Accounts Payable (FI-AP), Accounts Receivable (FI-AR), Asset Accounting (FI-AA), Special Purpose Ledger (FI-SL), Cost element accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Order Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis, SAP Digital Payment Add On (DPAO), SAP Customer Cloud Payment (CCP), among others
- Strong knowledge of integration between Finance and other functional modules, including Sales & Distributions, Materials Management, etc.
- Strong knowledge of SAP reporting tools, including query, report writer, BI, and Fiori apps
- Experience and familiarity working with Solution manager and SAP methodology
- Excellent collaborator, able to work effectively with a team
- Adaptable and forward-thinking
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel internationally as required
- Ability to participate in operational activities outside of normal working hours as needed
