We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Director to lead our growing healthcare construction team. This is a remote opportunity that will require you to work on-site for the first 12 months in Toronto, followed by a 14-day on, 7-day off rotation schedule.

Role Overview:
  • This is a leadership role that involves overseeing large-scale ICI projects up to $1 billion, utilizing your technical expertise and project management skills to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
  • You will be responsible for developing and driving the construction schedule, ensuring completion dates and milestones are met.
  • Strong relationships with team members, trade partners, consultants, and clients are essential to achieving project goals and vision.
  • You will also oversee risk management, implementing early mitigation strategies to minimize potential issues.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills are required to increase effectiveness and efficiency, ensuring project excellence and productivity.
  • Proactive approach to ensure compliance with our Quality Program.
  • You will utilize your experience in trade partner selection and coordination of their activities.
  • Apply your financial management experience to plan, manage, and respect project budgets, costs, and associated purchasing.
  • Share your knowledge through mentorship opportunities with project team members.
  • Keep the lines of communication open regarding project status and updates.
  • Take pride in compiling and completing company-wide project reports.
  • Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety, and Environmental Protection on the project.
  • Effectively apply the requirements of the project-specific safety standards to promote HS&E standards, applicable OH&S acts, regulations, and codes with all employees and trade partners on the project.
  • Celebrate project success and completion and be a key member of the project wrap-up process.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • 10+ years' experience in the ICI construction industry.
  • University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience.
  • Experience in successfully delivering major-large scale and highly complex Design Build/Public-Private Partnership (P3) projects; Healthcare an asset.
  • Track record of success in both Project Management and Site Management roles.
  • Familiarity with alternate contracts (DB, P3, or similar).
  • A proven track record of project leadership, success, and team collaboration.
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client, project, and technical issues to bring the project to successful completion.
  • Strong knowledge of construction and project methodologies, financial management, as well as building codes and associated legislation.
  • Role model status for health and safety as well as quality.
  • A passion to develop, maintain, and execute the project schedule.
  • Good computer skills and previous experience with scheduling software.
  • Ability to work on a remote site.
Compensation:
  • $300,000 plus $150,000 annual bonus
