Environmental Services Assistant

Halton Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide to join our team. As a key member of our Environmental Services department, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, common areas, and other facilities, adhering to infection control protocols and standards.
- Operate heavy machinery, such as floor buffers and cleaning equipment, to ensure efficient and effective cleaning processes.
- Transport and dispose of waste, recyclables, and soiled linens in a timely and sanitary manner.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and maintain a positive working environment.
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Minimum one year of recent housekeeping experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that require standing, walking, and climbing.
As a Housekeeping Aide with Halton Healthcare, you will work in a fast-paced environment with varying shifts, including evenings and nights. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
