About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and physically capable individual to join our team at Oyster Freight Services Inc. as a Mechanic Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to our mechanics and operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tool and Equipment Management: Assist in the movement and organization of tools, equipment, and materials to ensure efficient operations.
  • Site Support: Provide assistance during surveying activities, including holding stakes and ensuring safety procedures are followed.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Signal safety procedures to other workers and the general public, and assist tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Physical Demands: This role requires a high level of physical fitness, including the ability to handle heavy loads and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments.
  • Work Conditions: The work environment is physically demanding and requires flexibility, efficiency, and reliability.

Work Details
