Decent Painting & Decorating Ltd. is seeking a skilled Drywall Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall sheets, fabricating and installing suspended metal ceiling grids, and ensuring seamless joints and seams.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing, with a strong focus on attention to detail and quality control. You will work closely with our team to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and finish drywall sheets, ensuring smooth and even surfaces
- Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids, including acoustic and coffered ceilings
- Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
- Tape over joints using taping machines and embed tape in compound
- Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using trowels and broad knives
- Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, positioning and securing them to metal or wooden studs or joists
- Smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Dusty, noisy, and outdoors work site environment
- 40 hours per week, permanent position
- English language proficiency
