Job Summary:

CSA Group is seeking a Co-op Student to join our Power Generation (Nuclear) standards team. As a Co-op Student, you will assist in the development of leading-edge standards solutions, interacting with industry experts, academia, researchers, and government officials.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project documentation, including meeting notices, agendas, and draft minutes.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to support the program, such as optimizing data collection, analysis, and reporting systems.
  • Assist in scheduling and convening of in-person and/or virtual meetings.
  • Disseminate and maintain committee documentation and correspondence.
  • Follow up with members on action items and handle action items assigned to CSA staff.
  • Assist as needed with other project and program activities related to strategic initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Completion of second year or higher in an undergraduate program.
  • Preference for students in a related technical field, such as nuclear energy or energy systems, engineering disciplines, business, and/or management.
  • Knowledge of standards, government policy, and nuclear sector landscape would be an asset.
  • Experience working with volunteers and/or multi-stakeholder groups would be an asset.

  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and planning skills.
  • High degree of self-motivation, initiative, resilience, and adaptability.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player.
  • Strong computer skills, including word processing, presentation software, project planning software, spreadsheets, etc.
