We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Homewood Health. As a Bilingual Mental Health Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering seamless services and programs to our clients and customers.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver EFAP Services and Clinical Support: Provide confidential counselling, case management, direct clinical services, and assessments to clients in need.
- Telephonic Assessments and Crisis Intervention: Conduct quick and effective telephonic assessments to address client concerns and provide crisis intervention services as needed.
- Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients to develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including tangible strategies for immediate change.
- Case Management and Progress Notes: Receive case assignments, establish treatment plans, complete case progress notes, and determine case closure under regular supervision.
- Risk Assessments and Prevention Interventions: Conduct comprehensive psycho-social assessments, risk assessments, and support suicide or other risk prevention interventions as needed.
- Consultation and Collaboration: Consult with the Stay at Work Clinical Management team and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
- Workshop Facilitation and Crisis Management Services: Lead workshops as required and provide Crisis Management Services on an as-needed basis.
- Master's Degree in Counselling, Social Work, or Psychology: Registration in good standing with a relevant governing body, such as a Social Worker, Psychologist, Marriage & Family Therapist, or Canadian Certified Counsellor.
- Clinical Experience and Training: 2-3 years of clinical experience with a continuum of mental health and situational problems, including experience and training in solution-oriented and/or cognitive behavioral short-term therapies.
- Crisis Hotline and Telephonic Counselling Experience: Crisis hotline, telephonic counselling, and/or EFAP experience is preferred.
- Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication and active listening skills in both English and French.
- Resourcefulness and Empathy: Skilled with risk assessment, on-line research, and demonstrated resourcefulness in locating and accessing emergency and/or community resources across Canada.
- Customer Service and Flexibility: Empathetic to client concerns with exceptional customer service delivery in person and on the phone, and flexible with a creative approach to single-session counseling.
