Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Deli Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Deli Associate, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized deli area, and assisting with stocking and sales of deli products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Zoning the department to ensure a clean and safe environment for customers
  • Rotating stock and checking for expired products to maintain high-quality products
  • Ensuring merchandise is properly signed and priced to meet customer needs
  • Adhering to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
  • Taking orders for deli department merchandise, slicing and preparing products, and providing requested assistance
  • Providing assistance to front-end associates with price checks
  • Preparing deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizing slicers, stackers, and other utensils
  • Keeping the area neat, clean, and organized, free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
