The Village at St Clair, located in Windsor, Ontario, is seeking a part-time cook to join their team.

Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Certified as an assistant cook, Branch 1, under Regulation 1049
- Completed the Food Service Worker Program from a community college or registered private career college in Ontario
- Valid food safety awareness certification
- Previous experience preparing large quantities of food, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting
- Creative flair for menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
- Knowledge of the Ontario Food Premises Regulations and Canada's Food Guide to Healthy Eating
- Knowledge of special and therapeutic diets, including texture modifications
- Ability to work accurately, quickly, and safely
- Ability to assess when to increase or decrease recipe quantities to meet the needs of the village
Preferred Qualifications:
- Leadership qualities and ability to direct the food services department in the absence of the cook and the director of food services
- Ability to lift a maximum of 50 pounds
- Ability to participate as an effective team player who works well with others
- Experience working and communicating with seniors
