Job Title: Site Mechanical Project LeadLocation: Sarnia, ON

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Site Mechanical Project Lead to join our team in Sarnia, ON. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring successful completion of projects at site; no hybrid/remote option.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop project scopes for Mechanical discipline and coordinate with other disciplines.
  2. Work with internal groups (such as Operations, Inspection, Engineering, HSE, etc.) on front-end project definition.
  3. Coordinate with internal/external engineering resources, procurement, contractors, and site resources to ensure successful completion of projects.
  4. Monitor, manage, and control projects to ensure that they are delivered on time, and aligned with clients' requirements.
  5. Contribute to the completion of established engineering project baselines in conjunction with Leads and other engineering personnel.
  6. Forecast, monitor, and manage potential risks that can negatively impact the successful completion of projects.
  7. Ensure overall engineering project compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  8. Act as the first point of contact for engineering and other stakeholders.
  9. Generate mechanical and/or process deliverables which include (but are not limited to): piping and mechanical layout drawings, line designation tables, data sheets, equipment datasheet, engineering work packages, purchase specifications, etc.
  10. Review RFIs, bids, contracts, and proposals, and respond with a demonstration of sound technical knowledge, and good interpretation of codes and standards.
  11. Apply sound engineering principles and procedures to meet quality and established performance standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Registered professional engineering in Ontario.
  • 5-10 years of Mechanical engineering experience in Oil and Gas.
  • Experience creating mechanical scopes of work and construction work packages.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per year
