Job Summary

We are seeking a Personal Support Worker to join our team in the Shelburne area. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing supportive care to our clients, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Supportive Care: Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with Medication Administration: Assist clients with taking their medications as prescribed by their healthcare provider.
  • Monitor Client Health Status: Observe and report any changes in client health status to the healthcare team.
  • Assist with Mobility and Transfers: Assist clients with walking, transferring, and using mobility aids.
  • Provide Emotional Support: Offer emotional support and companionship to clients.
  • Participate in Team Meetings: Attend team meetings to discuss client care plans and share knowledge and expertise.
  • Complete Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client care and services provided.
Requirements
  • Current Certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI): Possess current certification in NVCI or be willing to obtain certification.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to Work Independently: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
