About the Opportunity

The City of St. Albert is seeking a highly skilled IT Business Analyst to join our Information Technology department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading business analysis activities for projects and strategic initiatives, facilitating engagement with cross-functional teams, and collaborating with staff at various levels to understand business processes and identify solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate business processes and identify areas for improvement
  • Anticipate requirements and develop proposals to address business needs
  • Collaborate with project teams to implement the Next Generation 9-1-1 project
  • Document business processes, analyze gaps, and reengineer processes as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Sciences, Mathematics, Information Technology, Finance, Business, or related discipline
  • Minimum of three to five years direct work experience in a business analyst capacity, preferably in a Municipal Government
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Experience facilitating, gathering, and documenting requirements, use cases, and process models
  • Self-management of emergent tasks and project priorities to ensure timelines are met
What We Offer
  • A compressed schedule of 72 hours bi-weekly (Monday - Friday, 8:00 – 5:00 with a regular day off)
  • A competitive salary range of $81,116 - $99,835 per annum
