Cabinetmaker - Furniture Craftsman

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at Grand River Kitchens & Woodworking Inc. as a Furniture Craftsman. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality cabinets and furniture pieces that meet our customers' expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Fabrication: Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made, and create detailed designs and prototypes.
- Assembly and Finishing: Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units, and apply varnish, veneer, stain, or polish to finished products.
- Quality Control: Inspect and test finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Materials Management: Estimate costs and materials, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, including responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in cabinetmaking or a related field.
- Skills: Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and excellent oral communication skills.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
This is a permanent, full-time position, working 44 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
