Join Our Animal Care Team

We're seeking dedicated individuals to support our animal care team at the NWT SPCA shelter. As a volunteer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our furry friends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Walking and exercising dogs to promote physical and mental health
  • Cuddling and socializing cats to help them feel comfortable and relaxed
  • Assisting with kennel cleaning and maintenance to keep our facilities clean and safe
  • Supporting vet runs and medical procedures to ensure our animals receive the best care
  • Participating in events and activities to promote animal welfare and education
  • Fostering animals in need and providing a loving temporary home
  • Helping with housekeeping and laundry to keep our shelter tidy
  • Assisting with grooming and nail trimming to keep our animals looking and feeling their best
  • Providing public education and outreach to promote animal welfare and responsible pet ownership
  • Supporting dog training and behavior modification to help our animals become adoptable
  • Assisting with maintenance and repairs to keep our shelter facilities in good condition
  • Helping with recycling and waste management to reduce our environmental impact
  • Supporting fundraising efforts to help us continue our vital work
  • Assisting with airport pick-ups and drop-offs to help transport animals to and from our shelter
  • Providing clerical and administrative support to help our team run smoothly
