About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Machinist to join our team at 3D Laser & Fabrication Inc. As an Apprentice Machinist, you will play a critical role in the manufacturing process, working closely with our experienced machinists to learn and develop your skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reading and Interpreting Technical Drawings: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to understand production requirements.
  • Machining and Assembly: Set up and adjust production machinery/tools, fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance, and maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments.
  • Quality Control: Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances, maintain inspection records, and complete inspection reports.
  • Machining Operations: Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools, and verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications.
  • Maintenance and Housekeeping: Clean and maintain workspaces, perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery, and operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations.
Equipment and Machinery Experience
  • CNC Machine Operation: Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines to perform machining operations.
