About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Machinist to join our team at 3D LASER & FABRICATION INC. As an Apprentice Machinist, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpretation and Execution: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to set up and adjust production machinery and tools.
  • Machining and Assembly: Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Quality Control: Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments, document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances.
  • Inspection and Verification: Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools.
  • Maintenance and Housekeeping: Clean and maintain workspaces, perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: No degree, certificate, or diploma required; willingness to train and learn.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Familiarity with computer numerical control (CNC) machines.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and maintaining attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, team player, reliability, and ability to work 32 hours per week.
