Job Title: Transportation Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Operations Supervisor to join our team at SIDH TRUCK TRANSPORTATION INC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure efficient transportation operations
  • Prepare and submit reports to management on transportation performance and operations
  • Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery used in transportation operations
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work to be performed on transportation equipment
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Recruit and hire staff to support transportation operations
  • Train workers in duties and policies related to transportation operations
  • Conduct performance reviews to ensure staff are meeting expectations
  • Co-ordinate, assign, and review work to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies needed for transportation operations
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient transportation operations
  • Plan, organize, and oversee operational logistics of the organization
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in transportation operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Client focus and ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Efficient interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others
  • Excellent oral communication skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing situations
  • Initiative and ability to take ownership of tasks and responsibilities

Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.

Hours of Work:

The hours of work are 35 hours per week.
