Job Title: Retail Store Team Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Team Lead to join our team at 31 Shoe Avenue Inc.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, assigning sales workers to duties, hiring and training or arranging for training of staff, authorizing payments by cheque, and exhibiting designers planning and developing permanent and temporary or moveable exhibits and displays for museum exhibitions, trade shows, conventions, retail spaces and other exhibitions.

In addition, they will order merchandise, authorize return of merchandise, establish work schedules, sell merchandise, prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters, resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages, organize and maintain inventory, supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers, manage cash, oversee payroll administration, conduct performance reviews, and supervise office and volunteer staff.

This is a full-time position working approximately 30 hours per week. We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 annually based on experience.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of retail management experience with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make sound judgments under pressure.
  • Familiarity with computerized point-of-sale systems and Microsoft Office software.
