We are currently seeking a skilled Advanced Foot Health Specialist to join our team at Arvan Rehab Group in Elmira, Ontario.

As an Advanced Foot Health Specialist, you will work closely with residents in a Retirement Home & Long Term Care setting to provide specialized nursing procedures specifically related to foot care. Your expertise will be invaluable in ensuring the highest level of care and comfort for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide foot care services to residents based on their individual needs and assessment results, as per College standards.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and re-assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and document all progress notes in the facility's health record system.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of resident treatments in their charts, adhering to recommended formats by the facility and Arvan Rehab Group.
  • Ensure proper cleaning and sterilization techniques are followed for all equipment and tools used during procedures.
  • Foster a safe environment by adhering to infection control best practices and guidelines set by regulatory bodies, including the College of Nurses of Ontario, Health Canada, and PIDAC.
  • Collaborate with the home to maintain up-to-date resident treatment lists and ensure timely provision of foot care services.
  • Participate in a multidisciplinary team to suggest applicable treatments and management methods, ensuring interventions align with best practices.

Requirements:

  • A Registered Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse providing nursing foot care services in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Basic and/or advanced care certification.
  • Professional License Insurance.
  • Ownership of necessary tools and cleaning supplies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and listening skills when interacting with residents and their families.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience working in a Long Term Care home is an asset.
  • A current police check for the Vulnerable Sector and TB Immunization Record are required.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. This estimate is based on industry standards and location-specific factors.
