Chef Job Description

Xl Food Inc is seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as requisitioning food and kitchen supplies. You will also be responsible for planning menus and estimating food requirements, determining the size of food portions and costs, and inspecting kitchens and food service areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements
  • Determine the size of food portions and costs
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Organize buffets and banquets
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with good time management skills
