Job Title: Light Duty Cleaner

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Light Duty Cleaner to join our team at FirstService Residential. As a Light Duty Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our properties, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and service restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and showers
  • Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors and stairways
  • Gather and dispose of rubbish and waste materials
  • Report any needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring outside vendor services
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
  • Clean grounds and parking lots of litter, glass, or other debris

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of standard methods, practices, tools, and equipment of the janitorial service
  • Knowledge of the proper use of chemicals, fertilizers, and pesticides
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Ability to operate and use janitorial tools, equipment, and supplies
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules and regulations

Working Conditions:

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. You must be able to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
