Job Title: Light Duty Cleaner

As a valued member of our team at FirstService Residential, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our properties. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will ensure that our clients receive the highest level of service.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and service restrooms, including restocking supplies and ensuring proper hygiene practices.
  • Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors and stairways to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Collect and dispose of rubbish and waste materials, using powered equipment as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify areas requiring attention and report any necessary repairs or maintenance.
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces using treated dust mittens and cleaning compounds.
  • Wash walls, ceilings, windows, and other surfaces using step and extension ladders.
  • Clean grounds and parking lots, removing litter, glass, and other debris.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of standard janitorial practices, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to operate and use janitorial tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions:

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods. You will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. You must be able to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
