Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team in London, Ontario. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment in our production facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair mechanical and electrical equipment in the production facility
  • Build, install, and break down equipment as needed
  • Participate in the development of reliability strategies and preventative maintenance programs
  • Basic troubleshooting of PLC systems for automated custom-built machines
  • Proactively participate in HACCP food safety systems to identify and control hazards in the food production process
  • Consistently follow all Dr. Oetker Health & Safety and Food Safety & Security policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Interprovincial licensed Millwright (433A)
  • Experience working in mechanical maintenance/Industrial Electrician in the food or pharmaceutical industry (preferable)
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and ability to keep the facility running at optimum levels
  • Ability to work according to tight schedules and timelines and have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Can handle heavy loads (up to 25 KG) and have good hand-eye coordination
  • Can stand for long periods of time and are able to work with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • You have your own transportation, as public transportation is not available
  • You will not be allowed to wear piercings, jewelry, nail polish, fake eyelashes, fake fingernails, etc. in the production area
  • Must be able to touch and work with pork, chicken, beef, and dairy products
  • You are able to work rotating 12-hour shifts on four-week cycles
