Responsibilities include:
- Collecting samples and performing laboratory tests to aid in diagnosis and treatment
- Handling and restraining animals during treatment and surgery, ensuring their safety and comfort
- Assisting veterinarians before, during, and after surgery, as well as preparing and administering medications and vaccines under their direction
- Counseling clients on animal health care and providing wound and bandage care
- Performing office management and clerical duties, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a veterinary setting, preferably as a veterinary technician or assistant
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues
- A high level of attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
