We're looking for a highly motivated individual to fill a full-time Intern, Canadian Property Tax position in Montreal, QC. As a member of our team, you'll contribute to the engine that keeps the North American economy on track.

Job Overview:

The Intern, Canadian Property Tax is responsible for updating property tax assessment and tax payment on Canadian real estate assets. This includes verifying and processing property tax invoices, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely payments to avoid costly penalties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all property tax invoices received are verified and processed for payment on time to avoid costly penalties
  • Make sure property assessments are either recorded or consistent with Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) records
  • Report on the processed tax invoices focusing on deadlines
  • Scan and attach property tax-related documents in SAP
  • Ensure asset inventory accuracy in SAP for Annual Statement reporting
  • Liaise with Property Tax Manager and tax authorities

**Estimated Salary:** $60,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

**Requirements:*

  • Fluently bilingual (English and French)
  • Ability to organize work and establish priorities to meet guidelines and deadlines
  • Capacity to work well under pressure
  • Aptitude to work as part of a team and independently
  • Apply critical thinking
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) as well as SAP

**Education:*** Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Real Estate background. Any related experience or skills are considered an asset.
