Job Title: Implementation Consultant Full Time

Join the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre team as an Implementation Consultant, working closely with the Clinical Research Supervisor and Chief Research Scientist to develop and implement effective knowledge translation and communication strategies.

About the Role

This is a full-time, two-year contract position with a possibility of renewal. As an Implementation Consultant, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing strategic plans and objectives related to knowledge translation
  • Conducting ongoing market research and benchmarking, including administering surveys and planning, coordinating, and facilitating focus groups
  • Synthesizing research knowledge and developing plain language summaries for wide audience dissemination
  • Identifying and implementing strategies to transfer research findings to policy and program decision makers
  • Conducting both qualitative and quantitative and other mixed-methods analyses
  • Developing and leading communities of practice among internal and external partners
  • Providing advice and expertise to decision makers on the use of evaluation activities to measure the effectiveness of the knowledge translation strategy
  • Adapting knowledge translation activities for different audiences using creative approaches and different channels
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated ability to perform research literature searches as well as critical appraisals and analysis of research
  • Proven project management skills with ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize time
  • Experience in conducting surveys and focus groups and related data analysis
  • Demonstrated experience in working with various stakeholder groups on knowledge translation initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience with patient/public engagement and policy development
  • Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, reference management programs, web design and development, and REDCap
  • Advanced degree in life or health sciences (MSc, PhD) or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
