We are seeking a skilled Licensed Optician to join our team at LensCrafters in Oshawa, ON. As a key member of our optical team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and providing expert advice on eyewear solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome and engage with customers, setting clear expectations and providing personalized service
- Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Act as a leader in optical acumen, providing guidance and support to colleagues
- Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear, and ensure finished products meet standards and customer needs
- Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions, utilizing technical expertise and problem-solving skills
- Utilize technology efficiently, maintaining accuracy and productivity despite time pressure and customer volume
- Proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and exceeding expectations
- Manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks and competing priorities
- Strive for exceptional results on brand KPIs and competencies
- Maintain a clean, attractive, and organized store environment, adhering to company standards
- Report safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices
- Embody a resourceful, self-motivated attitude, with a desire for continual learning and improvement
- High School graduate or equivalent
- State licensure
- Optical dispensing experience
- Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and teamwork
- Knowledge of current store merchandise
- Basic math skills
- Awareness of current fashion trends
- Selling skills, including the ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet
- Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators
- Adaptability to new technology and change
