About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Optician to join our team at LensCrafters in Oshawa, ON. As a key member of our optical team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and providing expert advice on eyewear and vision care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and engage with customers, setting clear expectations and providing personalized service
- Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses, ensuring accurate and precise results
- Act as a leader in optical acumen, providing expert advice and guidance to customers and colleagues
- Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear, and ensure finished products meet standards and customer needs
- Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions, providing support and guidance as needed
- Utilize technology effectively, prioritizing accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
- Proactively identify and resolve customer issues, ensuring satisfaction and exceeding expectations
- Manage time and prioritize tasks effectively, achieving exceptional results on brand KPIs and competencies
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to company policies and procedures
- Stay up-to-date with company policies, procedures, and product knowledge, embracing new technology and change
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- State licensure
- Optical dispensing experience
- Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and teamwork
- Knowledge of current store merchandise and fashion trends
- Basic math skills and familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators
- Ability to sell and use technology, including iPads and tablets
