We are seeking an experienced Culinary Expert to join our team at Royal Canadian Pizza & Butter Chicken Ltd. as a cook.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and supervising kitchen staff and helpers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods according to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective meal preparation and service.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of East Indian cuisine.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and standing for extended periods.
  • Reliability, teamwork, and excellent communication skills.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position working 30 hours per week in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be able to multitask, and provide exceptional customer service.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $40,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
