About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team at Boston Scientific. As a key member of our R&D team, you will provide technical leadership and expertise in the development of medical devices.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical leadership on cross-functional engineering teams.
  2. Define and analyze system requirements, clinical workflows, and input/output processes using current systems engineering methods and technologies.
  3. Solve system problems by analyzing situations and recommending corrective or alternative actions.
  4. Document system architecture and design control elements by writing documents, reports, and memos.
  5. Translate customer needs into technical requirements, engaging with field, marketing, service, and other functions as needed.
  6. Provide expertise and conduct evaluation of validation and verification activities.
  7. Drive risk analysis for projects.
  8. Work with cross-functional teams and serve as an R&D representative on cross-functional deliverables.
Qualifications
  1. Engineering degree (EE, computer science, or biomedical) and experience driving projects and tasks to closure.
  2. Experience with technologies for image-guided minimally invasive procedures.
  3. Demonstrated understanding of medical image generation and processing, such as intracardiac echo.
  4. Strong communications and time management abilities.
  5. Ability to provide technical leadership within cross-functional teams.
  6. Track record of independent and solution-oriented work style.
  7. 5+ years of experience within the Medical Device industry with BS degree, 3+ years with MS or PhD.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Medical Device experience working with imaging and signal processing systems (EEG, Electrophysiology, etc.).
  2. Experience conducting simulations, mathematical analysis, and/or system interaction analysis.
  3. At least 5 years of engineering experience in mixed HW/SW systems.
  4. Technical experience with digital and analog low noise systems.
  5. Usability engineering experience.
