Role Overview
The Government of Alberta is seeking a dedicated Child and Youth Care Worker to join our team in Lac La Biche. As a CYCW 1, you will provide direct care and support to extremely emotionally and behaviorally challenged youth in a trauma-informed environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct services to ensure a safe and secure environment for vulnerable youth in care.
- Assess, identify, and implement the specific needs and direct program delivery for high-risk youth.
- Work directly with youth, their families, and as a member of the multi-disciplinary team.
- Ensure a safe and secure trauma-informed environment consistent with the centre philosophy and policies.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience working with high-risk youth and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A strong understanding of trauma-informed care and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
