Job Title: Long Distance Bus Driver

Kasper Transportation is seeking a reliable and skilled Long Distance Bus Driver to join our team. As a Long Distance Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers over long distances, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate buses, school buses, or streetcars to transport passengers
  • Provide passengers with information on fares, schedules, and stops
  • Collect fares and record transactions
  • Report delays, mechanical problems, and accidents
  • Load and unload vehicles
  • Direct passengers during emergency evacuation procedures
  • Operate para-transit vehicles
  • Ensure para-transit passengers board vehicles safely
  • Deal with the public
  • Complete logbooks and reports
  • Deal with difficult passengers and resolve conflicts
  • Communicate with passengers, dispatchers, or other drivers using two-way radio systems
  • Ensure children's safety when boarding and leaving buses and crossing streets while buses are stopped
  • Maintain control of student activities during travel to prevent distractions or behaviors that could compromise safety
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle
Requirements:
  • Class 4/4F/F/4A-B-C Licence (ambulances, emergency vehicles, and buses with fewer than 24 passengers)
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
