Our Ideal CandidateWe are seeking a passionate and driven Civil Engineer-in-Training with a background or interest in municipal infrastructure, land development, bridges, and/or roads to join our team in Terrace, BC. As a successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to support the team with the execution of a variety of civil projects.
A Day in the Life- Support the design of water, sewer, drainage, municipal transportation infrastructure, bridges, roads, and large-scale civil projects.
- Field engineering during the construction of projects ranging from small to large.
- Support with the development of estimates of project costs, analysis and calculations, designs, preparation of reports, proposals, and contract documentation.
- Deliver excellent work, on time, and on schedule, delighting our clients with a commitment to quality and professionalism.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (other disciplines encouraged to apply if practicing Civil Engineering).
- Must be eligible to register as an EIT with EGBC in the province of British Columbia.
- 04 years of relevant experience in civil engineering.
- Field experience in materials testing (soils, concrete, asphalt), survey engineering field reviews, or contract administration is considered an asset.
- Experience in bridge structural design, bridge/culvert hydrology or hydraulics is also considered an asset.
- Experience in municipal design such as drainage hydrology, storm and sanitary sewer hydraulics, water hydraulics, grading, land development, or road reconstruction is also considered an asset.
- Effective verbal communicator, including presentation, facilitation, and listening skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Good organization skills and strong attention to detail.
