Key Responsibilities- Project Planning and Execution
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes.
- Prepare layouts and estimate costs and materials for construction and renovation projects.

- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Team Collaboration and Support
- Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
- Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth and provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Work Environment
- Work in a fast-paced construction and renovation environment with a focus on quality and safety.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals to achieve project goals.
- Education and Experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the trade.
- Language and Communication
- Fluency in English.
- Work Schedule
- 32 to 40 hours per week.
