Job Title: Registered Pharmacy Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Neighbourly Pharmacy. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the accuracy and quality of product preparation and release.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and transcribe verbal prescriptions from practitioners
  • Ensure that a prescription is complete and authentic
  • Transfer prescriptions to and receive prescriptions from other pharmacies
  • Prepare and process prescriptions by performing duties such as entering orders, counting, measuring, compounding, packaging, or repackaging medications
  • Methadone dosing preparation
  • Perform the final check of a prepared prescription
  • Ensure the accuracy of drug and personal health information in patient records, while maintaining patient confidentiality and following legal/regulatory conditions
  • Oversee Pharmacy Assistants to ensure efficient and safe prescription filling

Requirements:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia
  • Above average oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Excellent customer service skills
