Job Summary

FortisBC is seeking a skilled Cathodic Protection Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our pipeline integrity team, you will be responsible for monitoring and testing cathodic protection systems to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our pipelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to various locations to monitor and test cathodic protection systems
  • Develop and implement plans to maintain and install cathodic protection systems
  • Analyze data to identify areas where cathodic protection criteria are not met
  • Recommend and implement solutions to address cathodic protection issues
  • Collaborate with external contractors and construction crews to ensure successful project outcomes
Requirements
  • Recognized as a Certified Cathodic Protection Tester (CP1) by the National Association of Corrosion Engineering (N.A.C.E.)
  • Four (4) years of directly related experience
  • Working knowledge of cathodic protection systems, corrosion theories, and electrical interference
  • Ability to operate Microsoft Office applications and intricate instrumentation
  • Valid BC Driver's License with a safe driving record
