Accounting Technician Job Description

Simeen Bhanji Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Technician to join our team. As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and reconciling accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Payroll Preparation: Prepare cheques for payroll and ensure timely payment to employees.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including trial balance and statistical reports.
  • Tax Preparation: Prepare tax returns for the company.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma in accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Skills: Accurate, efficient interpersonal skills, organized, and attention to detail.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Work Term: Permanent position.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
