Canada Post is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Leader to operate a central post office in the community. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about providing excellent customer service and is comfortable with sales and cash transactions.
Estimated Salary: $64,900 per yearThis position offers a competitive salary and a leasing allowance of $2,578 per year to help offset the costs of operating a post office. In addition, an annual supplemental allowance may be available to assist with premises-related expenses.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with the local community regarding Canada Post services and products
- Sell and promote postal products and services to the public and businesses
- Administer the post office to meet retail hours of operation and delivery expectations
- Manage postal revenue, assets, and values
- Maintain records and prepare reports
- Assist with effective management of mail delivery routes
- High School Diploma or equivalent and/or experience in business administration
- Owned or leased premises available one month prior to the date of hire, suitable, central, and barrier-free
- Experience interacting with the public in a retail and/or service environment, including sales and cash transactions
- Knowledge of regulations, methods, and procedures for processing mail and providing postal services
- Physical fitness to lift mail containers up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

Other InformationPlease note that this position may be considered safety-sensitive and requires additional requirements under Canada Post's Substance Use Policy. As part of the selection process, selected candidates will undergo a security screening. Preference will be given to applicants residing within a 50 km radius of the post office. The working hours for this position are 27 hours per week, Monday to Thursday from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm, Friday from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
