As a Construction Project Lead, you will be accountable for project planning, financial management, pre-construction, execution and close-out.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project schedules and milestone dates, ensuring close-out checklists are prepared and maintained during the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee the procurement process, including facilitating regular scope review meetings, finalizing agreed processes, developing subcontract scopes of work, and managing the subcontract distribution and final execution process.
  • Implement Quality Control plans developed by subcontractors.
  • Source various rail, civil, and structural components.
  • Develop, manage, and track RFI submissions.
  • Collaborate with Preconstruction in preparing, revising, and monitoring information regarding reports related to costs involved in developing the project budget.
  • Determine the quantity of budget estimates / deliverables to the client.
  • Manage project administration and daily operations, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Monitor the change management process, including identifying change events, submitting change notices, pricing and tracking change work, optional changes in project scope, and negotiating change orders with clients.
  • Review contract documents to obtain a clear understanding of deliverables, ensuring project work will be completed on time and within budget.
  • Communicate objectives for critical milestones, budget, schedule, and client satisfaction measurements to project team members.

You will take personal responsibility for your own health and safety, and that of other workers, visitors to the site(s), the community, and the environment.

Maintain and measure HSE goals and expectations using Key Performance Indicators.

Understand and comply with client requirements, Occupational Health and Safety regulations, and all applicable government laws and regulations.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with trackwork procurement and installation.
  • Knowledge of steel fabrication.
  • Experience working on Sky Train or light rail projects.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing construction projects.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
Compensation:

$90,000-$125,000 per annum

Salary will commensurate with education and experience.
