Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Department Manager Lead to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for assisting in the leadership of the Food areas and department processes, ensuring a high level of customer service and task completion.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate.
  2. Task Coordination: Assist in providing direction and the coordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the Food Assistant Manager and the Store Management Team.
  3. Department Presentation: Assess the overall presentation of Food Departments and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executing merchandising display changes where required.
  4. Customer Availability Process: Delegate, assist and follow up on completion of daily Customer Availability Process tasks.
  5. Scheduling Support: Support with scheduling as needed.
  6. Associate Support: Assign Associates to support with coverage and availability tasks in all areas of the store.
  7. Training and Development: Participate in the training and development of the Food Associates, and provide feedback as needed.
  8. Safe Work Environment: Contribute to a safe, clean and hazard-free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure and free of debris.
