Job Description

We are seeking an experienced truck driver to join our team. As a heavy goods transport specialist, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading goods
  • Operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Inspecting vehicles and equipment
  • Performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
  • Receiving and relaying information to central dispatch
  • Recording cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Requirements

  • AZ class license
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing circumstances

Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This role requires regular long-hour driving and exposure to variable weather conditions. The ideal candidate will have excellent physical and mental stamina, with the ability to lift and move heavy objects when necessary.

Work Term and Language

This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week. English is the primary language spoken in the workplace, and proficiency in this language is required.
