Brandt is seeking a skilled Field Heavy Equipment Technician to join our Agriculture Division team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining agricultural equipment, including tractors, hay tools, and other implements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair complex systems on agricultural equipment, including engines, transmissions, electrical, hydraulic, and air conditioning systems.
  • Provide mechanical support from the field and travel to customers to diagnose and repair equipment as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections, including fluid and filter changes, testing, and adjustments for optimal performance.
  • Recondition pre-owned equipment to meet high standards.
  • Accurately record field reports for service writers, including warranty invoicing and records.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal support teams to quickly diagnose problems and provide solutions.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers in various communities in Alberta and build business in those areas.

Required Skills:

  • Heavy Equipment Technician or Agriculture Equipment Technician certification is an asset.
  • Previous field tech or road tech experience is a plus.
  • Basic to above-average computer skills and a passion for problem-solving are essential.
  • Experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment is required.
  • Ability to complete detailed repair order notes on each job.
  • Class 5 Driver's License is necessary.

Required Experience:

  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
  • Meet physical demands, including climbing, overhead lifting, prolonged standing, sensory processing, and fine motor control.
