Job Title: Heavy Equipment Service Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Service Technician to join our team at Westside Heavy Duty Repair Inc. in a challenging and rewarding role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including hydraulic and transmission systems.
  • Assist mechanics and perform other duties as directed.
  • Change engine oil and lubricate running gears or moving parts of automobiles, trucks, or heavy equipment.
  • Grease booms, pulleys, buckets, and other components of heavy equipment.
  • Install replacement mufflers, exhaust pipes, shock absorbers, or radiators.
  • Provide on-site services, including providing technical support and assistance to customers.
  • Replace oil, air, and fuel filters on motor vehicles, trucks, and heavy equipment.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience an asset.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Physically demanding.
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) weight handling.
  • Flexibility.
  • Reliability.
  • Team player.

Work Environment: Dusty, odours.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

  • Fast-paced environment.
  • Hand-eye coordination.

Language of Work: English.

Hours of Work: 30 to 40 hours per week.
