Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Acute Inpatient/Palliative Care Unit at Woodstock Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals and families in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to physicians.
  • Participate in patient and family education, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
  • Contribute to a safe and respectful environment, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current CPR Certificate and IV Initiation Skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Documented commitment to continuing education and professional development.
  • Experience in Medical/Surgical Nursing within the past 2 years.
  • Central Line Management experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Satisfactory Attendance and a Vulnerable Person's Sector Criminal Background Check.
  • Proof of full COVID-19 immunization (2 or more doses).
