As a Registered Nurse with RT Medical, you'll provide care to individuals who need assistance as they deal with the effects of aging, injury, surgery, or illness. This role will involve:
- Assessing and monitoring residents' health status
- Developing and implementing care plans based on individual needs
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
- Providing wound care and managing medical equipment
- Educating residents and their families on health management
- Supervising and coordinating care provided by other healthcare staff
- Responding to medical emergencies and providing first aid
- Documenting residents' medical histories and progress
- Have one of the following qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing degree (BN), or Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with College of Nurses of Ontario
- Experience as a visiting nurse, visiting registered nurse, visiting registered practical nurse, and/or community nurse considered an asset
- Physical ability to stand, bend, walk, crouch, kneel and reach, ability to lift 50lbs (23 kg) independently, ability to assist clients with standing, walking, and sitting; ability to reposition clients in bed
- Valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR
- Updated immunization records (including completion of a two-step tuberculosis test within the last 6 months)
- Clear Vulnerable sector check are required upon hire
- Ability to interact with others in a caring, tactful and courteous manner
- Excellent problem solving, time management, and crisis resolution skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Valid G2/G driver's license and access to a reliable car. The position requires daily travel of more than 1 hour, so 100% must have a vehicle.
- Ability to use phone applications
