The successful candidate will be responsible for operating production equipment, inspecting products, and performing preventative maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints, use precise measuring instruments, and set up equipment according to specifications.
- Inspect and verify products before processing, ensuring they meet quality standards.
- Set up equipment in accordance with setup note specifications and follow work order instructions.
- Enter or delete material identification tags as per instructions and assist with packaging materials.
- Maintain issued measurement equipment in proper working order and identify, document, and segregate scrap or non-conforming materials.
- Provide feedback on machine performance and product quality, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in compliance with safety guidelines.
- Train others as needed and participate in lean manufacturing and quality improvement activities.
Note: This job description outlines the general tasks and responsibilities but is not exhaustive of all duties involved in the role.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs.
- Strong focus on safety.
Preferred qualifications include previous warehouse experience, especially in the metals industry, familiarity with handheld measuring tools, and basic computer skills.
