Job Summary

The University of Ottawa is seeking a highly skilled Geospatial Data Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching and researching in the field of digital earth data, with a focus on practical and pragmatic applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and teach courses on geospatial data analysis and digital earth data processing
  • Conduct research in the field of geospatial data science and digital earth data applications
  • Collaborate with faculty members and students on research projects and academic initiatives
  • Develop and maintain geospatial data analysis tools and software

Requirements

  • Master's degree in geography, geospatial science, environmental science, urban planning, earth science, or a related field (PhD preferred)
  • Proficiency in GIS software, including ArcGIS Pro, and coding skills
  • Knowledge of practical applications and published research on GIS
