Embedded Safety Expert

BlackBerry QNX is a trusted supplier of safe and secure operating systems, hypervisors, frameworks, and development tools. We are seeking an Embedded Safety Expert to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of software safety standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, and IEC 62304. Experience performing safety analyses and crafting associated documentation is also required.

The Embedded Safety Expert will partner with customers across multiple industries, including high-profile automotive Tier 1 accounts. In return for your skills, expertise, and passion, we will provide an attractive compensation, bonus, and excellent benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct safety analysis activities collaborating with the onsite Principal FSM & global team as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leaders across other COE functions in Hyderabad.
  • Create documents and/or evidence packages to support certification of roadmap or custom software projects.
  • Partner with external safety assessors.
  • Participate in training and workshops related to usage of QNX products in safety-critical systems or to functional safety in general.
  • Attend working groups to keep abreast of the latest industry developments and influence future industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven and in-depth knowledge of software safety standards.
  • Experience performing safety analyses and crafting associated documentation.
  • Experience with requirements management and associated tools.
  • Embedded software development experience using C.
  • Excellent relationship management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
